Amici oggi vi racconto la leggenda della nave maledetta Ourang Medan, una nave con una storia da brividi che affonda talmente tanto nella leggenda da rendere dubbia la sua stessa esistenza…
I fatti si sarebbero svolti nel 1947 nel mese di giugno, quando due navi americane, la “City of Baltimore” e la “Silver Star”, intercettarono il segnale di sos della Ourang Medan, la trasmissione in morse era il seguente messaggio: “Tutti gli ufficiali, tra cui il capitano della nave e l’equipaggio intero, giacciono morti in sala nautica e sul ponte… Forse su tutta la nave non restano superstiti”.
A seguito del primo messaggio una serie di codici morse non chiari da cui si ricavò solo la frase: “… Anche io sento arrivare il mio momento, aiutatemi!”
Pare che dell’equipaggio solo uno si salvò, un uomo tedesco di cui non sono note le generalità, che raccontò la sua terribile storia all’autore Silvio Scherli. La storia come vedete è piuttosto fumosa e presenta delle falle, falle che non si può escludere siano il risultato di operazioni segrete militari.
Le teorie negli anni sono diventate numerosissime, andando dal complotto militare ai rapimenti alieni… La teoria più probabile è che la nave trasportasse sostanze tossiche illegali che abbiano ucciso tutto l’equipaggio a causa di fuoriuscite dal contenimento e che i responsabili abbiano poi fatto sparire tutte le prove dell’esistenza della nave e del suo carico.
Altre teorie parlano di tunnel spazio-tempo che avrebbero fatto sparire letteralmente dalla realtà la nave trasformandola in un vago ricordo. Scegliete voi a quale teoria credete, ma qualunque essa sia dovrete concordare con me che la leggenda di questa nave è una delle più misteriose insieme a quella dell’Olandese Volante e della Mary Celeste…
