La storia parla di una famiglia di contadini davvero povera che aspettava un quinto figlio che non sarebbero proprio stati in grado di accudire, così il marito, tenendo allo scuro la moglie, diede ordine al medico di liberarsi del piccolo subito dopo la nascita.
Il dottore acconsentì al terribile gesto e poco dopo il parto portò il piccolo su un ponte poco distante che attraversava un grosso corso d’acqua e gettò il piccolo condannandolo a morte certa. La leggenda racconta che se ci si trovi su tale ponte e si cosparga della polvere di talco ben presto compariranno delle piccole impronte di mani e piedi e si possa sentire il pianto di un neonato…
