The most haunted house in Italy: La Casa Rossa

Dear friends today I will talk about what is said by all is the most haunted house in Italy: La Casa Rossa.
A few kilometers from Lecco, in the hamlet of Bindo, stands a house called “Villa De Vecchi” but known as the “Casa Rossa”. In 2002 and precisely the first of December the villa was miraculously missed by a landslide but many argue that it would have been much better if it had not been saved due to the numerous reports of evil events associated with this dwelling.
It has become the “house of ghosts” par excellence, an inexhaustible source of legends that speak of ghosts, of a piano that on certain nights alone plays a sinister refrain and even of satanic and mysterious suicide rites.
Its construction dates back to 1857, the year in which the work ended, perfectly inserted in a beautiful park of 130 thousand hectares with an astronomical cost of more than 40,000 lire.

Legend has it that it has always been a cursed house since the day when the owner count found his wife murdered (but it seems that the wife never lived in the villa, since he died in 1850, even before the beginning of its construction) and her daughter disappeared without a trace, perhaps she simply ran away from home. The count lived alone until his death at the age of 46 due to natural causes and inherited the house from his brother with whom the slow inexorable decline of the property began.

Later the house became a destination for Satanists and legends began to flock, strange apparitions, sinister laughter and music from nowhere that is said to echo in its now abandoned rooms.

There are always numerous testimonies on the sinister apparitions observed, so much so that despite being considered a historical heritage, more and more locals hope that it will collapse or be demolished.

Similar legends are found throughout Italy but legends are, in fact all the stories that are told are exactly just that, stories, the certainty comes from having interviewed a group of serious researchers who went to the origins of the legends, discovering that the local population invented everything and that the various groups of pseudo-scholars have magnified to derive both economic and image benefits.
