Genderuwo, la leggenda del mutaforma indonesiano di Giava
Amici eccoci con un’altra leggenda che ho scovato per voi analizzando la letteratura indonesiana… Questo essere fa parte della cultura di Giava da sempre e, da quanto dicono gli abitanti del posto, sarebbe una specie di Jinn con la capacità di mutar forma per ingannare gli esseri umani.
Il Genderuwo, noto anche come “gandaruwo” o “gendruwo” ha un corpo tozzo simile a quello di una scimmia ed il suo corpo è ricoperto da una folta peluria, la pelle di un colore nero tendente ai riflessi rosso intenso, folti capelli e occhi gialli o rossi… Sappiamo che la sua dimora preferita sarebbe la foresta di Donoloyo Teak a circa 60 Km da Wonogiri.
Da quanto ho trovato sembra che l’origine del mostro sia da ricercare in spiriti di esseri umani non perfettamente sepolti e non è chiaro se la leggenda si riferisca alla mancanza di rituali funebri oppure ad una sepoltura fisicamente scorretta, quindi dobbiamo accontentarci di queste informazioni che sfortunatamente si trovano in testi indonesiani e sono di difficile interpretazione…
