L’uomo scomparso: Una leggenda metropolitana di qualche anno fa
Bentornati amici, oggi vi racconterò una leggenda metropolitana di qualche anno fa che ho avuto più per trasferimento orale che digitale… Questa storia non viene dai soliti canali digitali a cui ormai siamo abituati ma da racconti di appassionati. Mi è stata riportata tempo fa da una persona cara che la ha ricevuta allo stesso modo da altre persone.
Iniziamo con dire che l’ambientazione è l’Irlanda e dagli studi che ho compiuto la location precisa dovrebbe essere la foresta di Ballyboley, nota come “la foresta oscura”.
Si tratta di una foresta piuttosto folta dove i locali sostengono si possano verificare apparizioni spettrali e sparizioni, sparizioni come quella di questa leggenda. L’uomo si era recato con la famiglia (Moglie e figlio) a fare una gita per i boschi quando sarebbe letteralmente scomparso davanti agli occhi del figlio. Le ricerche furono vane, ma il bambino tornando sul posto disse di sentire la voce del padre che chiedeva aiuto per circa una settimana, poi più nulla.
La teoria più accreditata (chiaramente a livello di speculazione paranormale) era che una creatura come uno gnomo lo avesse catturato e portato nella sua realtà… La foresta in questione è famosa proprio per questo genere di creature che sono parte del folklore Irlandese da sempre.
Anche di questa leggenda ho trovato davvero pochi riferimenti online e la considero un raro caso di trasmissione orale che dal mio punto di vista val la pena riportare.
The missing man: An urban legend of a few years ago
Welcome back friends, today I will tell you an urban legend a few years ago that I had more for oral and digital transfer … This story does not come from the usual digital channels that we are accustomed to but from stories of fans. It was brought back to me by a loved one who received it the same way from other people.
Let’s start by saying that the setting is Ireland and from the studies that I made the exact location should be the Ballyboley forest, known as “the dark forest”.
It is a rather dense forest where locals claim ghostly appearances and disappearances, disappearances like that of this legend. The man had gone with his family (Wife and son) to take a trip through the woods when he would literally disappear before his son’s eyes. The searches were vain, but the child came back to the place and said he heard his father’s voice asking for help for about a week, then nothing more.
The most reliable theory (clearly at the level of paranormal speculation) was that a creature like a gnome had captured it and brought it into its reality … The forest in question is famous for this kind of creatures that are part of the Irish folklore ever since.
Even this legend I found very few online references and I consider it a rare case of oral transmission that from my point of view is worth reporting.
