The legend of the spooky bridge of Maud Hughes

And here we are with a new legend coming from Ohio … It is one of the most famous places regarding this kind of ghostly stories, we are talking about the Maud Hughes bridge. This dismal legend that I’m telling you was one of the first of all those ghost stories related to bridges …

There is talk of as many as 36 victims guilty only of having gone to this bridge at the wrong time. So as the legend is born the testimonies spread so much that it is no longer possible to distinguish real facts from those invented, but it must be said that there are so many testimonies, hundreds, that bring very similar stories, that is that walking along this old bridge you can meet ghostly figures of various kinds, which often would be black shadows, sometimes hooded ghosts … One of the most suggestive appearances would be that of a ghost train that is said to appear from the fog that often rises in the area.

These are quite ancient legends dating back to the period of the railways (a period that would have to tell so many sad stories, worst of the apparitions), but one is quite recent and describes the end of a man and his wife who would have been blocked on the bridge by some entity; the man would try to escape to seek help but would be reached and killed shortly after his wife.

It is a ghostly legend and with so many chilling details, which according to many has a fund of truth so it is useless to underline how deep I would like to visit the place, because I am fascinated …
