La leggenda del mostro delle acque lombardo: Il Bargniff
Bentornati amici, conoscete il Bargniff? Si perché ogni regione ha le sue leggende e questa di origine Lombarda è davvero particolare. Se avete una passione come me per i mostri marini, come ad esempio quello più celebre di Lochness, anche la storia del Bargniff vi soddisferà.
Si dice che si nasconda negli acquitrini, nei canali o in qualsiasi corso d’acqua e che attenda, con pazienza, il passaggio di viandanti inconsapevoli e sprovveduti per porre degli indovinelli… Fino a qui niente di che, ma va detto che nessuno riuscirebbe a rispondere alle domande poste in modo truffaldino e che quindi la pena per non aver risposto correttamente sarebbe finire gettati nelle gelide acque andando incontro ad una morte certa, dal momento che una volta in acqua la vittima sarebbe aggredita dalla creatura che sghignazzando lo terrebbe sotto fino a fargli esalare l’ultimo respiro gorgogliante.
Oggi fa comparire un sorriso sulle lebbra di chi legga la leggenda, ma anticamente era presa molto sul serio, tanto che gli abitanti delle zone limitrofe al Po cercavano di stare lontani dalle sponde durante la notte, perché, complice la paura, tutti sapevano che non si sarebbero potuti salvare da un tale tipo di aggressione.
La vera origine della leggenda credo sia facilmente intuibile, certamente un modo per tenere i bambini lontani dai corsi d’acqua che, anche senza la presenza del paranormale, erano e sono dei luoghi pericolosi, specie per i più piccoli… Ma in fondo non è più romantico un mostro misterioso? Io scelgo il Bargniff 😉

Today there is a smile on the leprosy of those who read the legend, but in ancient times was taken very seriously, so that the inhabitants of the areas bordering the Po tried to stay away from the shores during the night, because, thanks to the fear, everyone knew that they could have been saved from such aggression.
The true origin of the legend I think is easily understandable, certainly a way to keep children away from waterways that, even without the presence of the paranormal, were and are dangerous places, especially for the smallest … But deep down is not a mysterious monster more romantic? I choose the Bargniff 😉
