The most haunted house in Sassari: The house of spirits

Friends now you know well that, starting from the big cities to get to the smallest agricultural villages, all these inhabited areas have stories of ghosts to tell, and so too Sassari gives us this beautiful legend about his famous “House of Spirits”.

In the area of Monte Furru, along the road that leads to Sorso is a house known to all as “House of the spirits” with an extraordinary legend. This legend tells the story of a man, whose generalities are not known, who on his way back to Sassari walked along an avenue that went back to Monte Furru and which coincidentally came across what is considered the most important paranormal phenomenon in the history of the town Sassari …

He saw a lighted house and, from inside, he heard some festive voices, approaching he was invited to enter and join them in a big group dance. The man told of having lost the notion of time and only the great effort made him realize that by now he had been dancing for a long time, but looking at other people he realized that these showed no sign of fatigue, and indeed seemed fresh as roses. .. He tried to wriggle several times but they kept pulling him in until in a desperate gesture he found the strength to escape. It was at this point that he left the house and saw that the house was nothing but a lifeless ruin and realized that he was in the company of souls, perhaps damned or perhaps just demonic and that if he could not escape would die of hardship in this eerie eternal dance.
Now it is clearly a legend that has been handed down for a hundred years, but I can not help but notice the similarity with other bizarre facts told in other parts of the world, such as the famous “plague of the dance” of 1518 in Strasbourg, which involved about 400 people, many of whom lost their lives due to strokes or heart attacks due to fatigue …

These legends are interesting because they can always leave you the doubt that there is more, and in this case I think it is just like that.
