The Babau, the monster in the closet that terrorizes the children

Friends today we talk about a legendary monster that has scared millions of children in the world … How many of you as children have not feared to be attacked by the Babau? Filmed several times in hundreds of films, it is one of the most widespread urban legends in the world.

If you love the genre I recommend reading “The BauBau (The Boogeyman)” by Stephen King, first appeared in the magazine Cavalier in 1973 and collected, along with other nineteen stories, in the Night Shift five years later.

The Babau of the legend is more known as the monster of the closet, because it loves to hide in the dark, but does not disdain to be under the beds lurking … It is the progenitor of all the creatures of the night, from its description many legends were born similar as the slenderman or in parallel is associated with beings like mommotti, and others. It is clear that this being is the personification of children’s fears, and in particular represents the fear of the dark and the unknown.

It is undeniable that adults facilitate the emergence of these strange fears by threatening their children using the evil monster as a deterrent, but since children have a sensitivity different from that of adults it is possible that they see something that they associate with this being? Yes I know I’m trespassing in the plot, but I leave you with the doubt, because I like it so …

After all we can be sure that children do not really see something? Last night, check under your bed and inside your closet, because even if you do not see it, maybe he is waiting for you …
