In vero nessuno!

Ghost Hunting: Analysis of the survey method

Friends today I want to talk about something that I have on my stomach for a while … Let’s talk about ghost hunting, that is, the ghost hunting and the method used. Certainly from the definition of Ghost Hunter you understand the direction you are taking and I can respect it to 100%, yet today many of those who defined themselves have changed teachings calling themselves researchers of the paranormal, as if the term brought ignominy.

Let’s say that also this position is there, provided we change the approach also in the survey method. Let me explain better, if you define yourself as a researcher of the paranormal and then ask questions during the audio or video recordings, referring to the alleged entities asking how and when they died, something does not square, you’re a Ghost Hunter then, not a researcher …

This rather provocative preamble to express my opinion … Like many scholars of today, I also prefer the term “Paranormal Researcher”, but for the fact that I am not at all convinced that the alleged manifestations of entities are to be attributed to spirits deriving from dead humans. Who can say? In true no one!

So I think that the best method is to leave open all possibilities, we want to record video and audio? Ok is fine, but then we stop asking questions, we try to record the possible anomalies only with the tools and in our absence so as to exclude any human contamination. Of course I realize that now has become a media event, but so we risk focusing on the characters and not on the phenomenon, see the case of the American Ghost Hunter, the various Bagans, Taps and so on …

Think of the case of the search for particles with the LHC accelerator, have you ever seen someone stand with gauges near the machines? No, because any influence from the outside would distort the result, so why not apply the same method?

Do we think that a house is subject to strange events? We place our equipment, and in our absence we make the recordings, and afterwards we analyze everything, but they will be data free of contamination by the researchers present. The event that must become media is the analysis of the results, which should be available to everyone, perhaps creating a site with ftp to download the original material and analyze it and with the results obtained by the teams.

This for me is a serious method that would prevent the creation of fakes that are now taking over reality.

What do you think? Would not you like to be able to participate in the investigations by analyzing the originals instead of begging them to the various researchers?
