Famiglio: La leggenda dello spirito servitore

Familiar: The legend of the servant spirit

I embrace all of you from your Mister X, today I thought about telling you about a legend that has ancient origins and is closely related to the world of magic and in some cases, feel good about religion and some highlights of alchemy as the famous Paracelso (article: A 475 year old mystery: the legend of Paracelso) …

This is the Family, which was usually an animal, a plant, a lesser demon, a “domestic deity” similar to the Roman Larius, but also (especially for the alchemists) a homunculus, that is, a being created artificially to the same way of other creatures we have been busy in the past, especially in the Jewish Golem.

Without going too far into the mystic, I will only tell you that the Family in tradition was often associated with evil, was created or assumed animal form, often a rat, a black cat or a dog, and was a kind of servant of obscure forces such as Wizards and Wizards representing in all respects a spy sent by the magician or witch to get information about his enemies.

A rather abundant of what seems to understand that according to the tales he would have fed the master’s blood like a kind of vampire.

Certainly the cinema has beveled the edges and tells it in a better way …

P.S. Speaking of this topic with some friends and experts of the field who have pointed out to me it has come out that it is not absolutely an evil entity but a real “companion”, a friendly figure of the witch who seems to have been over the centuries and in the typically Catholic tradition he has assumed misleading traits in the stories … This is what I mean by collaboration, you can not know everything and luckily many of you follow me and correct when necessary.
